Well Deserved WIN....
The Midget LL boys played back to back games this week.
The Midget LL Boys travelled to Langton on Saturday which ended up to be a penalty filled game leaving us struggling to get anything going for goals. Both teams played well in the first and Deakin kept the net free of any goals making it 0 - 0 after 1 period. Langton came out strong in the second and capitalized on multiple penalties scoring 3 in the second. The third period was full of penalties and Langton was able to put them in the back of the mesh 4 more times ending with a 7 - 0 win over our boys.
We then travelled to Norwich with a very short bench of only 9 skaters but the boys played their hearts out. We ended up scoring first with a goal by Justin Borland, assisted by Austin Webber and Jon Andrews, Langton came back quick to score with 7:44 left on the clock and then again with 2:33 left in the first. We went into the second period trailing by 1 but an unassisted goal by Matt Holmes tied it up with 8:09 left in the second period. That boosted the boys and we scored again with another unassisted goal by Austin Webber with 4:05 left and then again by Jack Walters assisted by Matt Holmes to make it 4 to 2 at the end of the second. Norwich came out in the third scoring first with 12:56 on the clock, but we answered right back with another goal by Austin Webber assisted by Justin Han. We took a few penalties in the third period but never gave up and scored again with 5:41 on the clock, an unassisted goal by Jack Walters , followed by another goal with 1:26 left, scored by Justin Han, assisted by Jack Walters. We ended the game with 34 seconds left on clock with an unassisted goal by Jack Walters giving him his first hat trick of the season. Game well played boys...Never give up, you deserved this WIN!!!
