The Lucan Irish came a callin’ November 21st. There was great effort by the boys with
energy left in them, which was good to see.
Our penalty kills remained spot on. Loranger had his eye on the puck and made some hair raising saves. End to end action in the first period showing that Lucan was an accurate passing team and out-shot Ingersoll 10 to 8 but scoreless after one.
The Express started off the 2nd period short handed and played strong but Lucan did score less than 3 minutes in with a scramble in front of Loranger. A hard shot from the point by Schneider and Dimmmers got the rebound to get Ingersoll on the board. Another PK well done. The boys displayed that they can keep the pressure on their opponents when needed. A screened shot and the luck of the Irish have a commanding 4-1 lead at the end of the 2nd period.
Lucan came out a blazing after the 2nd intermission flood and fired 3 shots at Loranger in less than 30 seconds – with one finding the back of the net. PK efforts remained in tact. But ultimately, the visitors went home victorious 6 – 1.
