Back to Back Games for Atom L.L. Team Tirecraft
Team Tirecraft spent most of their Valentines night playing back to back hockey in the Carmeuse Invitational Tournament on Friday February 14th. Team Tirecraft started their night off with an exhibition game against Paris #2. Then played Team Canadian Tire right afterwards.

The night started off with a friendly exhibition game against Paris #2. Paris took the lead forty seconds into the first period. It was an exciting period with many chances. Paris took the lead 1-0.

Things started off strong for Ingersoll in the second period. Thirty seconds into the game #6 D. Kingsbury scored assisted by #7 T. Vervaecke and #14 C. Clifford. The same line scored from the face off fifteen seconds later. The next line continued the scoring pace, #11 Z. Lewis assisted by #10 E. Robinson. Ingersoll took the lead 3-1.

The "threes" continued in the third period. #11 Z. Lewis scored assisted by #15 B. Wright. Nine seconds later, #18 E. Martire scored unassisted. With only one minute left in the period, #18 E. Martire scored again this time assisted by #15 B. Wright. Final score 6-1 for Team Tirecraft.

With a brief break for the ice surface to be cleaned up. Team Tirecraft returned to the rink to play Canadian Tire. Canadian Tire took the lead with a goal forty seconds into the period. #11 Z. Lewis started off his hat trick  with an assist from #14 C. Clifford,two minutes into the game. Canadian Tire scored the next two goals ending the first period 3-1.

The battled continued throughout the second period. Despite the rivalry, neither team scored.

Canadian Tire started off the third period with a goal two minutes in. They scored again with eight minutes left in the game. Team Tirecraft came back with #11 Z. Lewis scoring assisted by #10 E. Robinson. Canadian tire scored with just over a minute left. Talk about leaving things for the last minute, #11 Z. Lewis scored his third goal of the night with only fifty two seconds left. He was assisted by #10 E. Robinson and #18 E. Martire. Final score 6-3 for Canadian Tire.

What a tiring night of hockey! You wouldn't guess that looking at the scores of 6-1 and 6-3.
