Thamesford Pizza Bantam’s Beat Waterford
In a true team effort and collaboration, Ingersoll skated to a 4-1 win over Waterford 2 on Feb. 5th.
After a scoreless first period, Thamesford Pizza came out strong in the second scoring all 4 of their game winning goals. Gage Langille scored the first (an unassisted goal) for Ingersoll only 18 seconds in, followed by a whopping unassisted slapshot just inside the blue line, by Michael Veale. Then, with momentum and team spirit at a high, Craig Wild scored the 3rd (assisted by Brock Swain) with only a little over a min. left in the period. But, just when we thought the period was winding to an end Gunner Nichols recovered the puck from a scramble out front to score the final goal for Ingersoll & the period, assist credited to Dakota Lednicky.
Waterford did come back to score one of their own in the 3rd but Ingersoll was able to fend off their opposition and seal their victory.
