C.E.P.U. Opens Season with Road Victory

The Ingersoll Bantam LL team sponsored by C.E.P.U. Local 3264 opened their 2012 season with a 4-1 victory over Norwich #2.

Josh Loranger was stellar in goal for Ingersoll as he shut down the Norwich team on a number of great chances.  On 3 separate occasions Ingersoll found themselves in 5-3 situations with 2 men in the box, but Loranger and the superb penalty killing was enough to hold the Norwich team at bay.

After a 0-0 first period, Ingersoll got on the board on a PP goal by Johnathan Ager.  On a close in chance Ager was Johnny on the spot as he banged home a rebound kicked out by Spencer King in the Norwich net.  This was all Ingersoll would need to get them going.  Ingersoll netted 3 more goals, 2 from Brody Warnock and 1 from Malcolm Rowe, before Norwich tallied with 20 seconds left in the game.  Warnock added 2 assists to go with his 2 goals while Zach Catry and Noah Schonberger also added helpers.

C.E.P.U. will take to the ice again on 10/22 when they host Waterford at the Ingersoll Arena.
