Butterworth's Novice LL went into the game against Simcoe 1 with a few nerves. Everyone knew that Simcoe's team would be a tough match.
Unfortunately Dawson couldn't stop Simcoe's first goal which went in after a bad bounce. Both teams played a very physical game, fighting for the puck the whole time. Butterworth's pulled ahead with another goal by Emmitt. This time Keagan C. Assisted. Ingersoll was able to put in another goal in the dying seconds of the first period, once again set up by Keagan and scored by Emmitt.
