Barring a few mental mistakes and some positioning miscues, Anderson’s looked both fast and poised from start to finish, led by goalie Jeremy Hardeman. Hardeman bailed the defense out on a couple of occasions however when called upon to do his own job he was equal to the task every time but once backstopping Ingersoll to a 4-1 win over visiting Waterford.
With Waterford getting on the board early in the first it looked like our boys could be in for a long hard game of playing catch up, but once we tied it up on a sweet goal by Cohen Alexander who won a foot race and looked like he knew exactly where he was going to put it when he got in close. It was all downhill from there. We pressured, dumped and chased and frustrated not only the defense on the other side, but anyone who ventured to take the puck from our fore checkers in the corner. Jax Nguyen used his speed to beat Waterford to the puck every time he saw daylight and with Nathan Emonts and Benham Martin always being in position or the right place at the right time, it was easy to have them running around.
Rhylan Warford and Evan Hopson each added goals during the big win but it was the little things we practice weekly like hard up the boards and looking to pass that cinched the 2 points. We fought for the puck at every turn with Lucas Turner and Dylan Daltry leading the way always focusing on moving the puck and Landon making sure it cleared our zone. It was effort = the win when it was all said and done.
