The Express took on the Paris Wolfpack on Sunday morning after suffering a loss in Paris on Saturday.Ingersoll came out a totally different team with one thing on their minds,to even up the series to make it 1-1.
And tie the series they did. The game was fast and rough with both teams going all out and no points would be put on the board in the first period. Paris drew first blood with the only goal scored in the second period,which would be the only one the Express would give up in the game. At 10:38 in the third Justin Holmes would get an unassisted goal to tie the game at one all. Goaltender Noah Robinson showed how a veteran expert remains a rock under pressure making excellent save after save. As the lads pushed on the defence consisting of Tanner Gray, Matt Berzins,Maxx Shelton and Nathan Gould moved the puck out of our end frustrating the wolfpack over and over.
With the score staying 1-1 at the end of the third the Express would head to the bench for overtime preperation.With 8:14 left on the clock in ot Justin holmes would turn on the red light shooting from a wicked angle to bury the rubber and send the wolfpack home with its tail between its legs. Forwards Keegan Clark,Alex Foster,Anthony Ziraldo,Justin Holmes,Jacob Branderhorst and Nolan Adkins all deserve mention for bringing it and stepping up.
