Tirecraft Atoms Playing Exciting Hockey
The Ingersoll Tirecraft Atom LL Team is playing exciting hockey as the second half of the schedule revs up. A busy league schedule and a tournament in Harriston, Ont. highlight the past week of action.

On Saturday January 21, Tirecraft visited Burford where the teams would play to a 0-0 draw.  Megan Longlade earned the shut out with her outstanding play between the pipes. On Friday January 20, the team travelled to Port Dover where they would earn a 4-2 victory. Camden McDougall scored in the first period assisted by Brent Fewster and Brandon Gordon.  David Timleck scored in the second assisted by Will Jones and Shaun Holt.  McDougall would add a pair in the third for the hat trick with assists going to Symon Hutcheson, Colin Van Dyk and Ethan Laporte.

On January 15 in Ingersoll, the team hosted Tillsonburg. Tillsonburg won the games 4-3. Tirecraft played hard in defeat despite playing in a tournament in Harriston, Ontario the day before.  Camden McDougall opened the scoring in the first assisted by Ryan Bruschetto and Colin Dench. Tillsonburg would take the lead in the second when Ingersoll played short handed after taking a few penalties.  In the third, David Timleck would score early assisted by McDougall and Holt. Late in the game, Timleck would score again assisted by Brandon Gordon and Devon Dell.  On January 14, at the Minto Mad Dog tournament, Tirecraft defeated Lambeth 4-1, in the team’s first game advancing to the “A” Pool.  Next up for Tirecraft was a team from Elma Logan.  Ingersoll played the best game of the season losing 3-2 in overtime to a much larger team.  The team was rewarded for their hard play with a team dinner in Stratford on their way home.
