Jan 19/12 -McNiven Insurance's Atom Rep Team Host Aylmer for Round Two of the Playoffs
In the second game of the playoff series, the Atom Rep Team stepped it up and tied the sereis 1-1 in the Express barn.
During the first period, Aylmer snuck two goals in to take a 2-0 lead with the Express not scoring until the second.
Aylmer got a third goal in the second period to make it 3-0. With a much needed shift of momentum, Keegan Clark put the puck out front which Clayton Hammond came off the bench and buried in the back of the net to make it 3-1 and hint on what was to come.
The third period was all Express with the defence and goalie , Jayden Purdy at the top of their game. The clock said 11:52 and Justin Holmes passed to Clayton Hammond who fed one to Keegan Clark who went top shelf bringing us within 1 of tieing it up. At 9:11, Nolan Adkins carried the puck up and shot with a rebound Keegan Clark buried to tie it up, 3-3. At 4:40 Clayton Hammond gave the rubber to Keegan Clark to give him a hat trick and move us ahead 4-3. To top off his hat trick, Keegan Clark passed to Justin Holmes to make it 5-3. Aylmer would score with 4:13 left and going home with a 5-4 loss and the series tied.
