Three Games in Two Weeks
Tirecraft has played a few very exciting games over the last couple of weeks. This writer needs to catch up on the team news!
January 22nd, Tirecraft Atoms travelled to Waterford, where a glorious game was played with Cam McDougal taking home a hat-trick after scoring the winning goal. McDougal put three goals in the net, with assists by Marcus Frizelle and Derek Neeb. Another of the goals was scored by Anthony Ziraldo, with an assist by Connor Young-Craig.
The following day, January 23rd, Tirecraft hosted a game against Tillsonburg. The puck was put into the Tillsonburg net three times, by Bram O'Connor, McDougal, and Spencer Mackay. Tillsonburg did get lucky however, with 6 goals leaving the final score 6 to 3 for Tillsonburg.
This past weekend, Tirecraft was on home ice again, this time against Burford. It was a very exciting game, and the team was down a couple of players, yet they did some amazing work on the ice - placing 4 goals into the Burford net!
Scores were definitely a team effort as Marcus Frizelle poked the puck home with assists by Kristopher Procter and Derek Neeb. Further, Frizelle scored again with an assist from Procter. Bram O'Connor put the puck to bed with an assist by Paul Shearer, and then O'Connor scored the final goal unassisted.
The final score was 8 to 4, for Burford.
These last three Tirecraft games have been very exciting to watch! Be sure to come and cheer on the team at their next game on Tuesday, February 1st, in Simcoe, at 6pm.
