Anderson Appliance Novice LL Battle Norwich
On January 31, your hometown Anderson Appliance Novice LL hockey team battled Norwich to a 2-2 draw.  This was an exciting game both for the players and the fans in the stands as the game went back and forth for three periods.

The first period was scoreless mainly due to the excellent goaltending from both teams. Brent Fewster was in net for Ingersoll and made several acrobatic saves.  Fewster and Mathew DeBruyn usually rotate between the pipes, but Coach Terry Gray and his staff have let Fewster run with it the past few games and he has responded well.
In the second period, Norwich managed scored early, but Ingersoll responded within two minutes to tie the score.
Max Branderhorst wristed a high shot over the Norwich goaltender assisted by Joshua Clark.
The third period was scoreless until the eight minute mark when Norwich pulled ahead 2-1.  Ingersoll would not quit and pressed hard.  With just under a minute left Ingersoll pulled the goaltender for an additional skater and did not let their fans down.  Davin Gray ripped a high shot on a pass from Clark to tie the score with 25 seconds left to even the score 2-2.  The defensive play of Marisa Freeman and William Jones were excellent throughout the game.  On forward, Ethan Laporte and Joel Gardham had outstanding performances.
The team gets better each game and are having fun.  Next game is Monday February 7 against Burford.
