Delhi Tyke Tournament part 3 Final Chapter
Well our IPC team played their best hockey yet. They went into the semi finals and faced off against a team they previously lost to by a score of 6 to 5. Mitchell HOMENIUK stood on his head and the team in front of him by far had their best game. They won by a score of 3 to 1. Scoring in the game was Gavin BRYANT, with assists going to Shaun HOLT and Cameron WHITE.
This win setup the stage for the championship game against Tillsonburg red and white. Again Mitchell HOMENIUK played amazing, turning shot after shot away. His performance was beyond the MVP award that he received. However our team fell short in the end.
It was a great tournament by all. It is clear that our kids have improved and it is clear that we as fans of the game and most of all fans of our kids will have many years to cheer them and be apart of many more special moments like this. So in saying that I say thank you to the kids who allowed us parents to have a fun weekend and enjoy this great Canadian game. Also thank you to the coaches.
Our team came away with the silver medal in only their second tournament. Congrats again you all deserve them and be proud of the way you all played.
