Ingersoll Thamesford Pizza defeated Delhi, January 7, in a game filled with strange bounces.
Delhi scored less than a minute into the game, on a shot from the corner that deflected off traffic in front of the net. Delhi then capitalized on defensive miscues to go ahead 3-0, six minutes into the first period. Riley Voltaire then tallied for Ingersoll, picking up a rebound from the boards behind the Delhi net and slipping it behind the goalie.
In the second period, Ingersoll exploded scoring five goals in five minutes. Matt Holmes opened the floodgates, Riley Voltaire netted his second of the game, the line of Koster, Racicot and Visser combined for two, and Jordan Pacheco finished the flurry putting a slap shot over the Dehli goalie’s glove. Dehli would add two goals in the second to keep the game close, but Ingersoll finished the scoring on a third period goal from Zach McVittie.
