Ingersoll Thamesford Pizza began 2010 by earning a tie against Simcoe Barry’s Salt.
Simcoe got out to a fast start, scoring twice in the opening period. Ingersoll did not answer until the second period, when Tristin Koster netted a short handed goal. Less than two minutes later Zach Mc Vittie tied the game on a feed from Joel Hall.
Simcoe pulled ahead again in the third period and Ingersoll’s hopes appeared slim Simcoe gained a five on three power play midway through the third period. Ingersoll successfully killed the penalties and tied the game as Matt Holmes dug the puck out of the corner and fed it to the net, where Jordan Pacheco pushed it home
