With their backs against the wall Louie’s Pizza & Pasta Ingersoll Express Bantam Rep team came up with two wins and a tie to improve their Southern Counties round robin playoff record to three wins two losses and two ties for eight points.
A must win still remains in the final game of the round robin verses first place Waterford on March 11 to have a chance to make it to the semi finals.
On March 4th Michael Nutt scored with just over two minutes remaining to give Louie’s a 3-2 victory over Waterford. Jacob Parkhill and Jordan Travis also scored while Austin Keilt, Jake Schneider, Jesiah Sweetland, Parkhill, Nutt and Travis all had assists. Michael Hazen stopped 21 of 23 shots for the win.
On March 5th Louie’s Pizza avenged an earlier loss to Port Dover with Kevin Hazen having a great game finding the back of the net twice to give Ingersoll a well deserved 5-3 win. Brett Nicholson, Michael Nutt and Jordan Travis each scored once with Dylan Robinson, Quintin Pow, Nutt and Travis adding assists. Randy Weatherhead stopped 16 of 19 shots in net for the victory.
On March 6
th playing their third game in as many nights Michael Nutt had the hot hands as he scored both goals in a 2-2 tie with Caledonia Thunder. Ryan Allard, Garret Maier, Quintin Pow and Jesiah Sweetland all had helpers in this game
