On Jan. 24 Butterworths travelled to Port Dover for an evening game. Both teams played a very entertaining first period, with some spectacular plays at both ends, but neither goalie would allow a goal and finished the first period in a scoreless tie. In the second period Port Dover scored early and with Butterworths trying to hold off their opponents Port Dover managed a goal with forty-nine seconds left in period number two and entered the third period with a 2-0 lead. In the third Port Dover put the game away with their third goal, defeating Butterworths 3-0.
Jan.26 saw Butterworths going into Simcoe to play Simcoe team#1. Simcoe came out fast in the first period scoring two goals, finishing the first period with a 2-0 lead. The second period belonged to the Butterworths team as they held Simcoe off the score sheet, but although they had many good scoring chances couldn't get one past the Simcoe goalie. Butterworths entered the third period down 2-0 but with momentum on their side scored a goal getting them within one goal, but with two late period goals Simcoe took this one by a score of 4-1. Butterworths goal was scored by Edward O'Dea with assists going to Charlie Does and Jack Skillings.
