By Henry Catry: On Dec 28 Ingersoll Express vanbeeks entered the Alymer tournament
Game one Ingersoll vs Alymer #1 Alymer started with a flurry scoring early then Cody Morrison replied from Robert Brown and Gage Langille leaving Ingersoll down 2 – 1 after the first . Alymer added 3 more in the second and 3 more in the third , but with one second remaing Julian Gillespie – Wilson scored from Ben Anderson and zach Catry leaving some optimism for their second game .
Game #2 Ingersoll Express Vanbeeks vs St Marys . St Marys opened the scoring in the first but the Express boys battled hard . St Marys scored again in the second but Gage Langille replied form Tristan Berto and Will Norris setting up and exciting third period . In the third Ingersoll battled hard but St Marys scored to make the game a two goal game but the Express tried harder but couldn’t get one by St Marys goalie leaving the final 3 -1 . The Express coaches were extremely pleased with the effort the boys put forth hoping to care over into second half play .
Jan 2 Express Vanbeeks vs Waterford #1
The Express Vanbeeks wanting to ring in the new year wasted no time as they probably played their best game to date keeping fans and parents hollering and cheering as they carried the play to Waterford only to be stopped by their netminder . In second period Jared Campbell fresh off vacation potted his first of the new year from Robert Brown and Gage Langille . Waterford responded. Setting up an exciting 3 period . In the 3rd period goalie Josh Adams sensing his team needed a spark looked great stopping every puck his way , the team responded with Campbell again from Langille and Brown . the last 3 mins were as intense as could be as the Epress hemmed Waterford in their own end to preserve the victory . The coaching staff was left wondering if the magic kingdom jelly bellys should be added to team diet as they seemed to push team to greater heights in this game . Final score Ingersoll 2 Waterford 1 .
Jan 3 Ingersoll Express Vanbeeks vs Burford
Ingersoll Express Vanbeeks travelled to Burford In the 1st period Julian Gillespie-Wilson opened the scoring from Ben Anderson and Robert Brown with Burford responding with 6 unanswered goals leaving the Express a little down but vowing it will be a different story next time these two meet in Ingersoll
