BUTTERWORTHS ESSO PEEWEE LL TEAM COMES OUT ON TOP IN THE BATTLE OF INGERSOLL
Feb.3 saw the two Ingersoll peewee LL teams meet in what is always a very entertaining game. Both teams played a hard fought first period with end to end action and some dazzling saves from both goalies.
MacNabs scored late in the period and took a 1-0 lead into the second period. Butterworths came out in the second period and took control of this one scoring three goals by Owen Hill assisted by Brody Sandeson, Brandon DeBruyne assisted by Jack Skillings and by Charlie Does assisted by Brandon BeBruyne and entered the third period with a 3-2 lead. Butterworths knew they could not sit on a one goal lead so they turned up the heat on MacNabs goalie while their defense and goalie shut down the oppositions offense. Butterworths hard work was rewarded with four third period goals scored by Jonathan Andrews assisited by Coulton Cameron, Owen Hill assisted by Brody Sanderson and Bruce Mathies, Jonathan Andrews assisted by Brendan Costello, and the fourth goal by Brandon Debruyne assisted by Charlie Does. Butterworths never let up in this one, finishing with a convincing 7-3 win. Good job boys!
