The Ingersoll Express J-Tech Design Bantam Rep team started their third game in the OMHA play downs last week hosting Caledonia on Tuesday January 19th.  This was a “do or die” game for Caledonia as J-Tech Design leads the series 2-0.

Caledonia comes out strong and takes the first shot on net.  Goaltender Thomas Ford makes the save.   J-Tech wants the win and puts the pressure on.  Ryan Wavell takes a pass from Derick Tonin and has a breakaway, scoring the first goal of the game with an assist to Brendan Harnett as well.    For the remaining of the first period J-Tech gives it their all with terrific saves from Ford and the period ends with a score of 1-0.  Caledonia still working hard in the second period but J-Tech is passing well, killing off penalties and taking shots on net.   An amazing breakaway save from Ford keeps J-Tech on top.  J-Tech picks up the pace and a scramble in front of the net gives Wavell his second goal of the night with the assist to Tonin, score 2-0.  Caledonia is working hard but J-Tech is keeping them away from the net and what is getting past, Ford is saving.  The third period begins and the pace is fast and furious with J-Tech working hard to keep their lead and Caledonia trying to get a goal.  A rush from Caledonia, shot on net and a bad bounce gets a goal past Ford, score 2-1.  With just minutes left in the third period it becomes a back and forth game but in the end, J-Tech Design takes the win and moves on to round 2 of the OMHA play downs.

The Ingersoll Express J-Tech Design Bantam Rep team began round 2 of the OMHA play downs last week, hosting Tillsonburg on Saturday January 24th.  Throughout regular season and during the Silver Stick Tournament J-Tech Design has not been able to get a win against Tillsonburg.  They are the team to beat and the team that you can not make mistakes when playing against.  J-Tech Design came out strong but did not have the chemistry to keep it together.  With 2 players short on the bench they could not put one past the Tillsonburg goalie and lost the game 7-0.  The next day J-Tech traveled to Tillsonburg for game #2.  J-Tech played a hard game.  Some excellent passing,  great penalty kills and the team played well but they could not get the puck past the Tillsonburg goalie.  They lost this game 4-0.  J-Tech Design is hosting game #3 on Tuesday February 3rd.
