Atom Express Rep Team loses out in Second round of Playdowns
On Monday, at home, Ingersoll began their second OMHA round against Tillsonburg.  The first goal, scored by Daniel Rizzo, with assists from Daniel Lindsay and Dakota Lednicky, began the competition.

A second goal by Lednicky ,unassisted, was not enough to counter the Tillsonburg team’s total of 5 goals. Final score, 5-2.  Two days later, Ingersoll’s team headed south for the second game.  In a tight head to head battle, Ingersoll’s Rizzo, with assists by Parker Moon and Lednicky, scored early.  The second goal of the night was scored by Chris Dimmers, assisted by Maxx Racicot.  A third and fourth goal sailed off the stick of Lednicky, with assists by Ella Shelton and Moon, but the final ended up 5-4 for Tillsonburg.  The next night found the two teams facing off back in Ingersoll, with the stands filled with fans and family.  Excellent defensive play and Tyler Brooke’s work in the crease were not enough for the win, however.  Goals were scored by Lednicky and Racicot, and assisted both times by Rizzo, but the final score was 4-2 for Tillsonburg.  Good work by all in the OMHA playdowns, team and coaches included.

On Sunday, our Oxford Chiropractic team shook off their disappointment, and traveled to Norwich.  The first two goals, scored by Dimmers, and Lednicky, assisted by Tanner Moon, Taylor Nicholson and Lindsay, were the highlight of the first two periods.  Brooke and his defense, held off the Norwich team, keeping their puck out of the net until the third period.  However, the Ingersoll team came back with six more goals in the last period of play.  Tanner Moon scored two, with assists by Lednicky and Lindsay, and Parker Moon hit the net twice, with assists by Rizzo and Sam Tasker.  As well, Shelton scored one, with assistance from Rizzo and Lindsay scored the last, with Lednicky and Rizzo’s assistance.  Final score 8-1 for Ingersoll.
