Programs- There were more changes implemented by Hockey Canada for the upcoming season. Preschool Program is designed for the youngest players, ages 3-4. The Initiation Program (IP) is for players ages 5-6. Minor Novice (formerly Tyke) is for players aged 7.  These programs are to learn the basic skills required to play the game; this is not a “learn to skate” program. There are no league games in these divisions and all ice times are ½ ice.  Novice is for players aged 8.  Novice will be half ice games until Jan 15th and then transitioned into full ice.

Anyone wishing to try out for our Travel Program must indicate such at registration. A fee of $75.00 must be paid at time of registration. An A/E Program may be offered in various divisions if there is a high interest of players attending Rep tryouts and a talent pool is evident upon the opinion of outside evaluators. Final decision will be made by divisional conveners. Players must be released from the Rep. tryouts in order to be eligible to try out for A/E. There is no guarantee of an A/E team. Players must register for the Midget Rep team and those (2004 Birth Year) players that are released have the opportunity to try out for the Minor Midget Rep team. We will also be offering a Juvenile Rep. team if enough interest is shown, must register by July 31 to show intent.

Bond Hours- There will be a Jersey/Performance/Security Bond requirement of $200 per family to be paid at registration via postdated cheque for March 30/20. Each family is required to complete volunteer time with their team, as well as within the organization. A minimum 10 hours for Novice to Midget is required for the first player and 5 hours for each additional player in the same family. Once your team hours are fulfilled, it will be a shared assigned effort by all team parents to fulfill the remaining volunteer duties for their child’s team. IP, Tyke and Juvenile are exempt but parents are encouraged to volunteer when required. There are many opportunities to earn hours within the organization for all, cheques will be cashed if requirement not met.  Bond cheques must be received prior to your child’s first ice time and if not received they will not be permitted on ice until such is received, drop off or mail to 200 King Hiram St. Ingersoll, Ont. N5C 1L8.

Registration- Registration is via the on-line registration format only which is available on the website: www.ingersollminorhockey.ca under the registration tab. Payments can be made on line or can be mailed to 200 King Hiram St. Ingersoll, Ont. N5C 1L8. On-line registration is open and is to be completed by no later than July 31/19 to be eligible for discount and to allow for season planning. All registrations will be date and time stamped to ensure inclusion into a program on a first come basis and for wait-list purposes.

Late registration does not guarantee a place on a team, as programs will be set in August/19. Late registrants will be placed on a numbered waiting list and placed if vacancies become available. All new to OMHA parents must complete the “parent respect in sport course” prior to the season, link found on www.omha.net

Registration payments

All fees and required documents are due in full prior to August 30/19. Players who have not submitted documents or paid in full will not be permitted to participate during any ice time until such documents are received and registration is paid in full; this includes receipt of bond cheque and the completion of the parent respect in sport course (mandatory by OMHA). NO EXCEPTIONS THIS SEASON!

Please be proactive and have all the necessary paperwork completed before September 1st. Reimbursement for certifications will be given at the end of the season, if rosters are approved by OMHA and IDMHA.
