Two more for the 'W' column
A great week for the Searles Motor Products Ingersoll Express Novice Rep team began on Sunday, Feb. 5, when the team hosted the Paris Wolfpack. The game featured a great outing by both Express goaltenders. After a scoreless first period, Parker Hodgson got Ingersoll on the board early in the second. The play continued with end to end action, but neither team could find the back of the net. Midway through the third period, Nolan Adkins added an insurance marker with a nifty end to end rush. Final score - Ingersoll 2, Paris 0. Assists went to Aidan Berto and Keegan Purdy.
On Thursday, Feb. 10, the Searles Motor Products Ingersoll Express Novice Reps hosted the Burford novice rep. The team in this one scored quick, and scored often. Ingersoll dominated the play throughout the game, with minor lapses a couple of times. Rather than go through the game play by play, we'll just say the final score was 10-2 Ingersoll. Goal scorers for Ingersoll were Parker Hodgson (4), Brennan Rupert (3), Nolan Adkins, Aidan Berto and Ethan Vlemmix. Assists to Berto, Hodgson, Adkins and Ethan Emerson (2 each), Vlemmix, Daniel Martineau, Keegan Purdy and Ryan Bruschetto.
A special mention to Aidan Berto, who played one of his best games of the season, resulting in a 3 point night (1G, 2A). Congratulations Aidan!!
The Express have a busy weekend upcoming, as they travel to Port Colborne for an OMHA playoff game on Saturday at 2:20 pm, followed by hosting Port Colborne Sunday at 11:00 am. Then it's off to Burford for a rematch of Thursday's game on Valentine's Day, Monday Feb. 14 at 6:00 pm.
