Moodie Leads with 2 Goals

Friday night the Ingersoll Peewee #3 Carmeuse Lime and Stone team was on the road visiting Port Dover.

With only 9 skaters dressed for the game Ingersoll knew that they would be in tough to come away with a victory, but Kenny Moodie took the team on his shoulders and put the Ingersoll squad out in front by 2 goals as he tallied in both the 1st and 2nd periods.  Nick Dimmers had the lone assist on Moodie's first goal.

Ingersoll would carry the 2 goal lead into the 3rd period riding the solid play of Brady Harris in net.  With just over 4 minutes left Austin Carr fired a puck from the corner toward the front of the net which deflected off a skate and managed to elude Harris.  This gave the Port Dover team the lift they needed and 30 seconds later Carr carried the puck into the high slot and boomed a wrist shot to the top corner of the net over Harris's glove.  Both teams would trade chances in the dying minutes, but on this night both teams would have to settle for 1 point each.

For his solid offensive effort Moodie was Awarded Hustler of the game while Harris received Honorable Mention for his stellar play in the cage.
