Harris Back Stops Ingersoll #3 to Win in Delhi
Sunday night after a snowy drive to Delhi the Carmeuse Lime and Stone Peewee LL#3 team took to the ice to take on their opponents from Delhi.
With just over a minute left in the 1st period Kenny Moodie opened the scoring for Carmeuse on a feed from Jack Skillings and Kevin Cox. This line pressured the Delhi defense and after a number of chances Moodie finally got the puck past Cory Wilson in net for Delhi. This would be the only goal of the night.
Both teams traded chances over the next 2 periods, but it was the defense and the goalies that would rule on this night. Brady Harris made a number of game saving stops to earn the shutout for Ingersoll. Adam DeBruyn, Warren McSwiggan and Nick Dimmers were solid on defense for Ingersoll even with the extra task placed upon them with having to play with 3D.
With the victory and his shutout Brady Harris was awarded Hustler of the Game.
Ingersoll's next game is Tuesday night when Tillsonburg comes to town and then they will host Delhi on Saturday for the Carmeuse Fun Day.
