Organization - CARMEUSE LIME INVITATIONAL 2010
Submitted By Kevin Procter on Thursday, February 11, 2010
The
Carmeuse Lime Invitational (formerly Carmeuse Lime Tournament) will
be held on Feb.19-21. All teams in IDMHA will be participating. Each
team will be inviting a team of their choice to come and play a game
for fun and sportsmanship.
A
huge thank-you to our continuous sponsor CARMEUSE LIME!Playing rules will be the same as our regular SCMHA/OMHA playing rules for exhibition games. Game sheets are to be marked as an exhibition game. Please advise your convener or Jo-Ann Thibideau directly when you have a confirmed team to play ASAP. Each team is responsible for securing a score and timekeeper. Volunteers are also needed for the 50/50, raffle and donation admission (door). Student volunteers are welcome. Please contact Jo-Ann with anyone who is interested in volunteering for 50/50, raffle and door.
Opening ceremonies will be held at 5:50 pm on Friday followed by the first game to commence at 6:00 pm. The Invitational concludes at 2:30pm on Sunday.
There is no mandatory gate fee for this year’s event, however we will be collecting a “donation admission” with proceeds going to the Haiti Relief Fund via the Canadian Red Cross. Proceeds from the 50/50 and the raffle will also be donated to this fund. Carmeuse Lime has generously offered to assist IDMHA in supplying each player, home and away, with a souvenir toque. A beverage will also be supplied to all players after their game.
“Player of the game” awards, which are being supplied by Carmeuse Lime to both the home and away teams, will be presented after each game, with the exception of the IP program. A member of the Carmeuse lime volunteer committee will select the winners.
The Ingersoll Times will be in attendance at some point in the tournament to catch the action.
A huge thank-you to our continuous sponsor CARMEUSE LIME
