The Searles Motor Products got some solid goaltending from the combination of Jacob Ross and Jayden Purdy. Solid play by gritty defenseman Clayton Hammond and power forward Tori Robles who played their best games of the year as the Express tied Port Dover 2-2 at home.
Playing the back end of a home and home series with Port Dover, the Searles Motor Products Novice Express took advantage of some solid goaltending from the duo of Jacob Ross and Jayden Purdy who back stopped a solid 2-2 tie for the Express.
After falling behind early Clayton Hammond scored on a bullet shot from the point to tie the game at 1-1 with assists to Tori Robles and Tanner Gray. Alex Foster then went end to end to score one of his famous "Paul Coffee" like goals at 1:11 of the first to put Searles Motor Products Novice Express ahead 2-1. Port Dover rallied to tie the game in the third and then hung on as the Searles Motor Product dominated play in the period. The game finished in a 2-2 tie.
