The Atom Canadian Tire team have played 3 games over the past week. The first 2 games did not end in our favour, but persistence paid off and we took the victory on Friday February 3, 2012 against Tillsonburg # 2 team.

Our first game out of 3 we lost 4-1 against Langton with our only goal being scored by Nolan Costa unassisted. It was a tough game but the players played hard.

Our next game we played against Norwich but unfortunately came up short again with a score of 4-1.

On Sunday Jan. 29th, your Ingersoll Tirecraft Atom LL hockey team travelled to Delhi. The team would endure the weather to get to Delhi, but would fall 2-1 in the game.

The Ingersoll Times has a contest running each week during the minor hockey season called "Spot the Puck". All you have to do is put a mark where you think the puck was photoshopped out of the photo, fill in your name and number and drop it in to the office by Monday morning. They have a mail slot in their front door if you can't come during business hours. There are prizes if you're the closest guess!

This was a good try for the Carmeuse Lime Peewees. They started out strong and Bram O'Connor scored the first goal of the game from a pass from Tristan Berto and Will Norris. Ingersoll fought hard during two powerplays but just couldn't get the puck in the net.
In the second period Port Dover managed to score two goals to take the lead. Carmeuse Lime accepted the challenge and put up a good fight but Port Dover scored three more goals in the third period.

Final score, Carmeuse Lime 1, Port Dover 5.

Tirecraft Atom LL Defence Top Notch

The Ingersoll Tirecraft Atom LL Team continues to play great team defence. The team has not allowed a goal against the past two league games. On January 22, Ingersoll hosted Simcoe where the teams played to a 0-0 draw.

Ingersoll Butterworth's Novice team hosted Simcoe this past monday night.
First period both teams were all over the puck but Simcoe managed to get one on the board first ending the first period 1-0.

With Jack Brown making some huge saves in goal for IPC, and a full roster on the bench to face Belmont, it promised to be another exciting Tyke hockey game this past Saturday. Graham Cornelisse opened the scoring early, and would net 2 more for his second HatTrick in only 2 games, as Adam Vandyk scored twice as well to take the IPC Securities team to their 2nd win of the season as Belmont could only get 2 goals by Jack in the net. With a 5 - 2 final at the horn, the teams coaches, Bill Krajewski, Scott Hardeman, and Paul Jones embraced each other on the bench in a moment of triumphant joy as some of the hard work in practice seems to be finally paying off. Way to go IPC !

This past week saw Verspeeten Cartage Peewees battle on the ice against Simcoe and Tillsonburg. The Verspeeten Cartage boys have been playing the best games of the year. Immeasurable passion poured out onto the ice, served up through hockey sticks and skates.

Butterworth's Novice team played against Tillsonburg sunday morning.
Excellent first period with Ingersoll Butterworth's on the board first with a goal from Ethan Martire assisted by Owen Longlade and Noah Cooper. Tillsonburg came back to end the first period 1-3.
